Confessions of a Highlighter Obsession

If I had to choose my most favourite type of make-up product, it would hands down be highlighters. Though they are not my most used make-up item, they are definitely my most loved. In this post I’m going to give you a run-down of the highlighters in my life and let you know which ones I believe are the best (if you want a super shimmer overload that is).

So these are the highlighters I currently own and love, and I do love every single one of these. If I buy one that I find doesn’t work for me (I have done so in the past) I give it on to a friend or family member because I just know it’ll never get used when I have so many other show-stopping ones to choose from. In my personal opinion, the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop is my absolute favourite for an incredible dewy glow. MAC’s Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle is an extremely close runner up and I don’t think anyone could force me to pick between either of them. They are definitely the two highlighters I cannot live without.

There’s no rhyme or reason as to how I apply these highlighters, though I do prefer using my fingers for the cream ones. With the powders, I use a brush that isn’t too dense because that way I can’t get carried away with application. Did I mention I love highlighter?

My Highlighter Collection:

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector- Champagne Pop

Benefit- Watt’s Up

MAC Cosmetics Cinderella Beauty Powder- Mystery Princess (This was a limited edition collection but you can still get bits and bobs of it on Ebay, some of it is astronomically priced though!)

Autograph Pure Colour Powder Highlighter- Pink Shimmer (Says it’s not in stock online but I have a feeling they revamped the packaging so just go into your nearest M&S and have a look at the Autograph stand)

The Body Shop- Brush on Radiance Pearls

Charlotte Tilbury- Filmstar Bronze and Glow

MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skin Finish- Soft and Gentle

No7- Instant Radiance Highlighter

Benefit- Moon Beam (Discontinued, Boooooo 😦 I’m using this sparingly as it just feels so nostalgic when I put it on. You could try their High Beam or Sun Beam as they are very similar products)

I really hope you enjoyed this more photographic post on my highlighter obsession. I have been loving the whole photography side of the blog recently so I’m going to keep it up! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lots of Love,

Your highlighter collection is seriously goals! If I hadn’t spent so much money on makeup already this month, I’d be off to get the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow! Such a cute post xxx
