A Word of Welcome!

As if i didn’t have enough to do already in my last year at University, I decided to jump on the band wagon and be completely- as some would argue- unoriginal and start a blog. Sound the trumpets! (or que the uninterested silence if this news is utterly boring to you).

Since I take English Lit at Uni, I suppose I could say I have a substantial interest in creative writing, and I really do! There is also, something quite therapeutic about taking time out of one’s day or week and devoting it to something one enjoys (I am by no means saying I will be a daily blogger- goodness me thats a commitment i’m not quite ready for). In all seriousness though, it’s taken a little while to pluck up the courage and publically export my writing, but it really does feel nice to write so freely and not like I just swallowed a textbook.

This blog may not be for everyone however, so I did just want to pop in- for those that are a bit clueless- what the hell this is all about and why i’m starting this adventure. Most people that know me well will understand and fully support (I do hope) my addiction to all things beauty related; I would have liked to have used the word fascination, but there really is no other way to define my obsessiveness over make-up and other such things. So I reckon there will definitely be lots of bits and bobs relative to the world of beauty.

Don’t take me for a complete wet fish though, because I do have plenty of other interests. For example, I’ve always had a large place in my heart for musical theatre and will always try to keep it a part of my life in some form or another; whether that means i’m actually on the stage or sitting in the audience. So expect to see little snippets of all things stagey.

For the past six months or so, I’ve also taken it upon myself to live a healthier lifestyle, including joining a gym which I workout in at least three times a week. So I shall probably end up rambling on about fitness related things such as healthy eating, optimum workout strategies and things that have helped me on my weight loss journey. Although, I’m about to disclose the proverbial warning that ‘what might have worked for me, won’t necessarily work for someone else’ so please bare that in mind friends!

Finally, I reckon you can expect to see just about anything on here because i’m not one for sticking to topic and I have so much that I would like to share in terms of lifestyle and so on- even if my Mum is my only reader. If you like food (that’s a winner for me), fashion and all the likes of that, then I’d say there might be something here for you too. I also do like taking the odd picture so I’ll be trying my very best to take some snazzy looking photos. So please enjoy what is to follow and if you’ve made it all the way to the end, then here’s a picture of me waving a big hello and welcome.

Thanks for reading and I hope you stick around!

Steph B.
